In 2012, Jack Heuer is celebrating its 80th birthday. On this occasion, a week before the fair in Basel company introduced the Carrera Calibre 17 Jack Heuer 80th Birthday - a limited edition of the iconic model. Birthday Carrera got ”vintage look” - taking it to hand you have this feeling that it was created decades ago. Thanks to the designer, which is the  Jack Heuer himself: CEO Heuer brand until 1982 when the company was sold and the person who in 1964 took an active part in the design and introduction of the Carrera line on the market.
Made of steel bezel  measures 41mm. What makes a limited edition different to other  production models are two discs in a “bi-COMPAX”. It is about the small seconds at hour 3 and 30-minute counter at hour 9th. I admit that this is a nice change from the ubiquitous system of three indications in the Valjoux 7750 /Calibre 1887.

Shield itself is silver and is decorated with ground-glass solar, which contrasts with the two dark gray counters whose edges are polished. It’s look is even more fashionable thanks to the central chronograph  in the color of blood red, and HEUER logo and number 80 on the black located on 6th hour.
